The Federal Office for National Economic Supply (FONES) works alongside the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and the Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM) in the area of cybersecurity. The ICT Division coordinates measures to reduce the impact of disruptions to information and communication technology.

National Cyberstrategy

The most recent National Cyberstrategy was approved by the Federal Council at its meeting on 5 April 2023 and by the cantons at the plenary assembly of the CCJPD (Conference of Cantonal Justice and Police Directors) on 13 April 2023. The strategy outlines the goals and measures with which the federal government and cantons, together with the private sector and universities, intend to address cyberthreats. An independent steering committee has been appointed to plan and coordinate implementation of these measures and further develop the strategy.
