This division is made up of the following sections:
- Basic Production Resources
Securing the supply of inputs, including plant protection products, fertilisers, seeds, soil, water, etc. - Production and Primary Processing
Securing staple foodstuffs such as fats and oils, cereals, vegetables, animal products, etc. - Secondary Processing and Distribution
Safeguarding the final stages of the supply chain. - Data and Analyses specialist group
The specialist group provides the necessary data to the sections and deals with technical modelling issues.

Together, they cover the entire value chain to ensure food security. The external experts contribute a wealth of knowledge and experience. They help assess the supply situation, develop and update intervention measures and, when needed, play a part in putting these strategies into action.
