General sale restrictions

The aim of general sales restrictions is to reduce demand in the short term for certain foodstuffs that are in short supply. They are imposed when, for example, there is a danger that people will want to hoard certain essential goods or when certain foodstuffs are rationed and non-rationed products need to be distributed equally.
