NES on social media
The National Economic Supply NES provides information on its website, on Twitter and on LinkedIn. This gives the public an opportunity to discuss issues regarding national economic supply.
Follow us on:
The FONES communication service is responsible for information about national economic supply in social media and on the internet.
If you follow us on social media, you will receive tweets about the following:
- Links to media releases
- Links to interviews with the NES delegate and the heads of division
- Information about new content on the FONES website
- Other types of content such as information and media reports on national economic supply and associated events
We usually post in German, French and Italian. In some cases posts also appear in English and Romansh. Posts and material in other languages will be removed.
We communicate primarily via media releases and our website. There may occasionally be times when social media is unavailable. The NES organisation cannot be held liable for the unavailability of these services.
We are open to all comments, feedback or questions on our posts - including critical ones. However, all information posted should correct. In order to ensure courtesy at all times in discussions on our social media platforms, we observe the following rules:
1. Rules of conduct and courtesy
You as users are expected only to post information that is true and correct. You undertake to be respectful at all times.
We will delete incomprehensible comments as well as defamatory, discriminatory or pornographic statements based on race, gender, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, etc. as well as any that incite hatred or violence.
Please also avoid repeating punctuation marks (such as ????? or !!!!!) and writing words in capitals only, which can be interpreted as 'shouting'.
Accept the opinions of others and refrain from personal attacks. Treat other users as you would like to be treated yourself.
2. Stick to the topic
What you write should always closely relate to the content of our posts. Avoid other content, in the interests of all readers. We reserve the right to remove unrelated content and repeated content.
We also ask you not to post political appeals of any kind. Trolling and flaming are forbidden. Chain letters, junk mail, spam and any content of an advertising or commercial nature are also not permitted and will be removed immediately.
3. No fake news
As a user of our platforms, you are solely responsible for the accuracy of any content you post. We cannot verify the authenticity of this content.
We advise you to exercise great caution with regard to false reports circulated in comments, especially in emergency or crisis situations. If you do not know the origin of the content, do not assume it is correct. Unverified information can spread faster than information that needs to be properly verified.
4. Specific questions
If you have a specific question, please send us an email.
5 Copyright/Citations
Make it clear when you are quoting someone or something. If you quote well-known people, newspaper articles, books, etc., you should cite the author or source. If you post copyrighted content, make sure you actually have all the rights to it. If you are unsure, don't use it. This also relates to photos, videos, music etc.
6. Data protection
It is not permitted to make public other people's personal data such as addresses or telephone numbers. Nor may the content of another person's private emails or messages be made public without their consent. In your own interests, please refrain from making public personal information about yourself such as telephone numbers, postal or email addresses.
When you use our offerings on social media sites such as Twitter, LinkedIn and others, you accept our guidelines. Please note that the NES organisation cannot accept any liability for mistakes, damage or data loss.
Please note that companies such as Twitter themselves moderate comments. Some comments may be identified as spam at the time of posting and will therefore disappear without us taking any action. We try to check all comments but some may escape our attention.
Enjoy the discussion!
