The Logistics Division is responsible for planning and ensuring transport logistics in Switzerland and abroad with appropriate continuity and crisis management. It is headed by Andreas Jeppesen.
The division comprises the management and six sections:
- Air transport
- Maritime shipping
- Rhine shipping
- Rail transport
- Platforms
- National distribution
The experts’ task is to contribute knowledge, experience and contacts from their field of expertise. They analyse the supply situation, develop and update management plans and, if necessary, can request measures to be applied, which they also take part in implementing.
The division also receives support from members of other federal offices and a number of associations.
